Polar or Helo 10-14 KW Commercial Heaters are floor mount
Heaters and do not require reinforcement in the wall.
Allow 5” of clearance from the front and sides of heater to any wood.

For all 2-8 KW heaters, allow at least 44” clearance above the heater.
For all 10-16 KW heaters allow at least 50” clearance above the heater.

SAUNA ROOM VENTING

Suggested optimal venting setup for a sauna room with heaters 2-8 KW have openings 4”x6”.  For heaters 8-16 KW, opening sizes are 6”x8”.  Place one below the heater which will serve as the intake vent and the other as far away as possible in the opposite upper corner of the room.  Venting your sauna serves several purposes.

  1. It creates a convection flow that keeps the room a more uniform temperature from the top to bottom.
  2. You are assured of a good supply of oxygen to the users while in the sauna.
  3. Ventilation will assist in drying out the sauna room after it has been used.

Frame air inlet and exit vent openings approximately 3” from floor/ceiling and at least 3” from the corner.
