I love the sauna we ordered from all of you.
I use it 4-5 times per week.

Can you look up my old Sauna order from 2018 please.
I did not fully fill the heating unit with rocks - probably have room for a dozen more rocks to pile up under the metal grate and above the heating coils.
I would like to fill the remaining space but threw out the rest of the rocks.
Can you look up the types of rocks I got with my unit and let me know a price to order a small bag to fix my problem?

Advantages: Cedarbrook shipped the requested rocks that day at less than cost!!!

I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with the raised garden beds I ordered from you they look great and the vegetables I have growing in the have done great. Next year I plan on replacing 3 black plastic ones with you cedar ones and would like to get another custom one for my front flower bed have to measure. Other people tell me there gardens aren't doing good but mine is easy to water. Thank you so much for the great product. So easy to put together; 2 women put all these together and filled them.

Peter H., Seattle, WA about  3'x8' Cedar Raised Garden Bed Kit:
Q: Do you have any suggestions or thoughts about lining the raised beds? My contractor suggested tar paper.

A: Unless you are growing veggies in it, the tar paper is fine. Even better is to cut clear corrugated fiberglass panels to line it with. This keeps all the dirt away from the wood and provides an air space.

R: Ha! I knew I should ping you... I just happen to have a stack of tinted plastic corrugated panels that I pulled off my house but have been unwilling to toss because you never know when they could come in handy... Thanks!
I'm Finnish, but recently learned that the word sauna "Sow Nah" is my heritage's only contribution to the English language... oh well, I digress. In any case, I bought this sauna heater accessories package. And it's been great. My sauna door did arrive with a crack. Given the way it was shipped, I was surprised. I mean it was encased in plywood and strapped, so clearly I could not fault the guys at Cedarbrook. More importantly, they reshipped a new door in a couple of days. Thanks for the help on the phone the other day too.

Ryan S., Vail, CO about  Sauna Rocks, Vulcanite, 50# Box:
Q: Is it safe to splash water on the rocks?

A: Yes, these are made for it. That said, if the sauna rocks have stopped sizzling with steam then you've poured too much. Most importantly, I'd say use distilled water. Chlorinated water can contribute to corrosion.
Irina R., Rocklin, CA about  Sauna Birch/Oak/Maple Venik Leaves:
I was surprised when in a Russian style sauna "banya". 1) How hot they had the room. It was nearly 240d F but low humidity. I watched them use the venik on each other and it sounded like train moving out of the station. 2) I see why they use the gloves and the sauna wool hat. When I tried the venik in the room, my fingernails got so hot. Very invigorating. So glad I discovered venik.
Teresam L., Solon, OH about   2'x3' Cedar Raised Garden Bed Kit:
Q. Is it true you can stack these when growing potatoes?

A. Yes, can just keep burying your plants with more dirt. Come fall, disassemble the planter beds and you'll have a pile of spuds. Happy growing!

Eric O., Lafayette, CO about  Blackline Wood Burning Model 16PK :
Q. Just ordered a stove, looking at instructions. The installation manual describes 2 methods of reducing wall clearance. A photo on your site shows another method, "slate over cement board". Do you have instructions for that?

A. This is a great way to reduce wall clearance. Really, it is a simple as it looks. Use slate tile and thin set… you don’t even need to use grout. Just put the tiles close together. If you have enough wall space to place 3’x3’ panels you will not even have to cut any tiles.
Daniel S., Seattle, WA about  Infrared Triangular Sauna Light Box:
OK, very odd. My cats love the infrared lights. I suspect it's cause of the warmth. Arty will stand by it and look at me, then meow. I am amazed how long he lays near it, sometimes a good half hour. I will send you pics.

Thanks for sending the pics. We posted one in the detailed images!

Steve W., Redlands, CA about  Sun Frog Sauna + Deck Sealer (1 gal.):
Q. I haven't yet stained my Sauna for the primary reason that I can't see a good reason to do so. I don't mind the aging look and prefer it to the fake cedar look of stain. Of course, right now the red has really come out and I know it will quickly turn grey. The Sunfrog stain is a nice color--better than other stains because its more subtle, but if all things are equal, I'd just let it age naturally—get the wabi-sabi look as they would say in Japan. Is there a significant preservative effect of staining that will make the exterior of the sauna last longer or not? One that is worth the hassle of re-staining every year or two, which I'm unlikely to do often enough. I also have a power sprayer and have learned the amazing effect of power spraying old wood and how it brings back the color. So, please, give me your advice.

A. Put the sunfrog as the first coating… then go wabi-sabi and stain as needed or as you like. It will will weather in a natural way with one coat of stain regardless, but the stain will add longevity. Also make sure you have your power sprayer on the lowest setting when cleaning cedar. It is very soft, and can easily be marred by too much water pressure.
